Simply remove the bolts that hold the blades to the mower.checkand make a note of the blades positions/there's an 'up' and'down'- 'down' faces the lawn put something,-ratchet handle, 2x4-to keep the blades from turning and remove the retainingboltsreplace the new blades facing the proper direction-if indoubt,ask a dealer-they may laugh,but it's importent. Hope thishelps. It would help more if I knew which direction the bolts turn,reverse or normal on a twin blade 38' deck?I believe the size head for the bolt is a 5/8 socket, you willprobably need a cheater bar for leverage to help get the bolt loosefrom the blade spindle.
