Leman Russ Dozer Blade
As the title says. Does anyone know if the Forgeworld mk11c rhino dozer blade is compatible with the leman russ? Or would it require heavy. The Leman Russ box is a standard Leman Russ battle tank but also includes the upgrade sprue. The dozer blade is no longer included but can be purchased separately on the Games Workshop website. We no longer have to glue in the little wheels for the treads to lock into, which was a pain.

So I have been working on the history, design, and concept of my Adeptus Astartes chapter for 8th edition. Perusing the Forge World models and accessories I found the dozer blade for the rhino. I know that there is the fanmade Land Raider Ares for 8th edition, but I want to avoid use of homebrew rules and units. So, if I was to add dozer blades to rhinos in my army, would that be an issue for 8th edition rules?
Also, would it be considered only a cosmetic piece? Sort of like using pieces and weapon equivalents from previous Astartes armor marks and weapon designs. In 8th, it depends on the vehicle. Something like a Rhino, does not have rules for it, so it's technically purely cosmetic. The Astra Militarum Leman Russ however, can take a functional dozer blade, which adds 1 to the hit roll in the fight phase.

You'll have to just check under the vehicle entry.Worth keeping in mind; the dozer blade will extend your vehicles silhouette, and can be used to draw line of sight. However, since it is not considered part of the hull, you can't use it to determine range, or how close you are to enemy models.
