The biggest issue with proper cloaks is that they would end up being horribly annoying to weight and get the animation working on properly and they would clip horribly with a large amount of both vanilla and modded armors, making them effectively only wearable with standard clothing or some of the most basic armors like leather. When when using something like HDT it wouldn't stop the huge amounts of clipping and other visual problems that could occur.While it would be really cool to have cloaks like that, on a technical and aesthetic level its just not so feasible. Unfortunately it's one of those things why proper cloaks in general are extremely rare in any sort of video game, let alone something like Skyrim which has such wonky animations and such dramatic armors. I'm definitely not saying it can't be done, its just insane amounts of work.

Hahaha, I can see why you thought it would be only in application to Frostfall, but plenty of people, myself included, have cloaks of skyrim installed anyway purely because it looks nice.So the more I think about it the more difficult this seems, but this is what I came up with as far as potential issues:As far as the basic form, most of the issue comes into the fact that most of the armors have very different shoulder designs. Leather is flat, Daedric goes up at the shoulder, Steel goes out from the shoulder, Dwarvern goes up near the neck, Wolf is quite padded etc. There should at least be more variations in cloaks of skyrim rather than just different colorsthe bosmer armor pack has a pretty badass shoulder cape then of course you have the cloak of lace and the divine aegis capewe need some more half capes,tattered capes and unique capes other than the WiC,dragon priest,daedric capes from CoS/WiCusually the capes are fine regarding the generic cape mesh only when the cape actually sticks to the legs and bends with the armorhell even a half length skirt version of the resplendent armor would look goodall these for both genders.

Skyrim—The Game of Thrones AdaptationYou can't play it yet—it's currently between versions, with the older version having been taken down ahead of the release of a new beta—but this is definitely one to bookmark. It's an overhaul that plans to transform Skyrim into Westeros, with dozens of locations and characters from the fiction and custom quests.
